Faustina II (died 176 AD). AE Sestertius. Obv. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA. Draped bust right, hair elaborately waved in nearly vertical lines and fastened in a low chignon at back of head. Rev. MATRI MAGNAE S C. Cybele, towered, draped, seated right on throne, holding drum with left hand on left knee, right arm at side; to left and right of throne, lions. RIC III (M. Aurel.) 1663. AE. 30.26 g. 32 mm. Scarce. Choice example with mesmerizing dark patina with brassy highlights and reddish hues. Good VF.
