Sabina, wife of Hadrian (died 137 AD). AE Sestertius, Rome mint. Struck under Hadrian, 138 AD. Obv. DIVA AVGVSTA SABINA. Veiled and draped bust right, wearing wreath of grain ears. Rev. CON[SECR]ATIO. Eagle standing facing on sceptre, wings spread and head to left. RIC II-p. 3 (2nd ed.) (Hadr.) 2609; C. 33. AE. 30.15 g. 33 mm. R. Rare and choice example, seldom offered. Pleasant greenish brown patina. Peripheral areas of weak strike. Gently smoothed. About EF.
