Julius Caesar. AR Denarius, Africa, 47-46 BC. Obv. Head of Venus right, wearing diadem. Rev. Aeneas left, carrying palladium in right hand and Anchises on left shoulder; on right, CAESAR. Cr. 458/1; B. (Julia) 10; RRSC D249. AR. 3.55 g. 18 mm. Well centred and brilliant example. Minor metal flaws on obverse, areas of slightly porous surface on reverse. Good VF.
