Tacitus (275-276). BI Antoninianus, Rome mint, 276 AD. Obv. IMP C M CL TACITVS AVG. Radiate and cuirassed bust left. Rev. FIDES MILITVM. Fides standing facing, head left, holding signum in each hand; in exergue, XXIS. RIC V 87 var. (bust); C. 45 var. (bust). BI. 4.63 g. 22.2 mm. RR. Very rare variety, apparently unlisted in the standard references. Nicely toned, with traces of silvering. EF.
