Antoninus Pius (138-161). AE Sestertius. Rome mint, c. 141-143 AD. Obv. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P COS III. Laureate bust right, with drapery on far shoulder. Rev. OPI AVG / SC. Ops, draped, seated left on throne, holding transverse sceptre in right hand and with left hand drawing up drapery, elbow bent and resting on throne. RIC III 612; Banti 247. AE. 24.44 g. 33 mm. Scarce. Bold portrait. Green patina, minor smoothing and roughness on reverse. Good VF/VF.
