Hadrian (117-138). AE As, Rome mint, 125-128 AD. Obv. HA[DRI]ANVS AVGVSTVS. Laureate bust right, slight drapery on far shoulder. Rev. SALVS AVGVS[TI] COS III SC. Salus, standing left, feeding snake coiled round altar and holding sceptre. RIC II 678; C. 1357. AE. 8.56 g. 28 mm. Choice example, with superb portrait and intact glossy dark green patina. Irregular flan, otherwise. EF.
