L. Sulla. AR Denarius, mint moving with Sulla, 84-83 BC. Obv. Diademed head of Venus right; on right, Cupid holding palm branch; below, L·SVLLA. Rev. Jug and lituus between two trophies; above, IMPER; below, ITERVM. Cr. 359/2; B. (Cornelia) 29-30 ; RRSC D 153. AR. 4.15 g. 17 mm. Great metal and full weight. An outstanding example, perfectly centred on reverse, brilliant with underlying luster and virtually as struck. About FDC.
