Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding spear over shoulder and shield decorated with horseman spearing an enemy below. Rev. SALVS REI PVBLICAE. Basiliscus and Marcus seated facing on double throne, each nimbate, each holding mappa and globus; in field between, star above cross; in exergue, CONOB. RIC X 1021; Depeyrot. AV. 4.06 g. 21.00 mm. RRR. Very rare and choice example. Nice light warm tone over brilliant surfaces; minor red deposit; faint graffito on reverse. Good EF.
