Aelius Caesar (136-138). AE As, Rome mint, 137 AD. Obv. L AELIVS CAESAR. Bare head right. Rev. TR POT COS II SALVS SC. Salus seated left, feeding out of patera snake coiled round altar. RIC II 1075 (var.); C. 45. AE. 14.22 g. 26.00 mm. Scarce. Bold portrait. Gently smoothed. Lovely dark patina with minor greenish deposits on reverse. Variety with bust not draped. About EF/Good VF.
