Faustus Cornelius Sulla. AR Denarius, 56 BC. Obv. Head of young Hercules right, wearing lion's skin; behind, SC. Rev. Globe between four wreaths, the lower one flanked by aplustre and ear of corn, the upper jewelled and tied with fillet. Cr. 426/4a; RRSC D 218.4a. AR. 4.03 g. 18.80 mm. R. Rare and superb, full weight. Struck from detailed dies. Peripheral areas of weak strike and minor nicks on obverse. EF.
