Sicily. Syracuse. Second Democracy (466-405 BC). AE Hemilitron, c. 415-405 BC. Obv. Head of Arethusa left, wearing necklace and earring, hair in sphendone (letters on band?); behind, dolphin(?). Rev. ΣYPA. Wheel of four spokes, with dolphin in lower quarters. HGC 2 1479; Cf. CNS II 20; Cf. SNG ANS 412. AE. 4.20 g. 17.50 mm. Choice specimen; lovely deep olive green patina. About EF.
