Greek Italy. Bruttium, Kroton. AR Stater, c. 530-500 BC. Obv. QPO. Tripod, legs surmounted by wreaths and terminating in lion's feet; two serpents rising from the bowl, set on basis of three lines. Rev. Incuse tripod as obverse, but wreaths and serpents in outline. SNG ANS 236; HN Italy 2075; SNG Lewis 246. AR. 8.60 g. 30.50 mm. Choice example. Sound metal. Good VF.
