MESOPOTAMIAN CYLINDER SEAL
Late Near Eastern culture, late 2nd - early 1st millennium BC.
Green serpentine cylinder seal with large through hole. It features a complex engraving apparatus, with a figure seated on a throne and animals, as well as letters in the cuneiform alphabet from the late period.
Dimensions: 20 x 12 mm. Very rare and interesting study item. Intact and complete. The seals with crude designs are typical of the dark age of the late second-early first millennium BC.
