Julius Caesar. AE Dupondius, 45 BC. Roma mint. C. Clovius, Prefect. Obv. winged and draped bust of Victory to right, around CAESAR DICTER before. Rev. Minerva advancing left, holding trophy, spear and shield decorated with gorgoneion, snake at feet, C. CLOVI PRAEF around. Cr. 476/1a. AE. 17.97 g. 28.00 mm. Scarce. Excellent conditions for the issue. Lovely greyish green patina with turquoise highlights. Good VF.
