Greek Italy. Southern Lucania, Metapontum. AE 15.5 mm, c. 300-250 BC. Obv. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin. Rev. Barley-ear with leaf to right; META to left. HN Italy 1696; SNG ANS 567; SNG Cop. 1252-3; Johnston 60. AE. 3.24 g. 15.50 mm. A superb example, perfectly centred on a regular flan; enchanting light warm tone. Good EF/EF.
