L. Roscius Fabatus. AR Denarius serratus, 64 BC. Obv. Head of Juno Sospita right, wearing goat's skin; behind, bird on box; below neck truncation, L ROSC[I]. Rev. Female standing right, feeding serpent erect before her; behind, bagpipes(?); in exergue, FABAT[I]. Cr. 412/1 (symbol pair 24). AR. 3.9 g. 18 mm. Sound metal and full weight. Well centred, brilliant and superb, with underlying luster and lovely golden toning. About EF.
