Greek Italy. Southern Apulia, Brundisium. AE Sicilius – Quarter Uncia, c. 215 BC. Obv. Wreathed head of Neptune right; behind, trident. Rev. Phalanthos, holding kantharos(?) and lyre.; behind, BRVN. Cf. HN Italy 740 ; cf. D'Andrea-Tafuri Serie A, n 4. AE. 1.79 g. 16 mm. Very rare. Apparently not listed in the standard references. We describe this fraction as Quarter Uncia for its light weight.
