Lucilla, wife of Lucius Verus (died 183 AD). AE Sestertius, 164-169. Obv. LVCILLAE AVG ANTONINI AVG F. Bust of Lucilla, hair waved and fastened in a low chignon at back of head, draped, right. Rev. PIETAS S C. Pietas, veiled, draped, standing left, dropping incense from right hand on lighted altar left and holding box in left hand. RIC III (M. Aur.) 1756. AE. 26.47 g. 31.00 mm. Lovely delicate portrait, struck on a thick medallic flan. Superb glossy olive green patina. From a slightly worn obverse die, otherwise. good EF.
