L. Roscius Fabatus. AR Denarius serratus, 64 BC. Obv. Head of Juno Sospita right, wearing goat's skin; behind, stag's head; below neck truncation, L RO[SCI]. Rev. Female standing right, feeding serpent erect before her; behind, stag's head; in exergue, FABATI. Cr. 412/1 (symbol pair84). AR. 3.85 g. 17.50 mm. Great metal. Superb and brilliant, with underlying luster. Obverse slightly off centre and insignificant area of weakness beside the border on reverse, otherwise. good EF.
