Anonymous. Quadrigatus (Didrachm), uncertain Sicilian mint, 217 BC. Obv. Laureate Janiform head of Dioscuri. Rev. Jupiter in quadriga right, driven by Victory; in relief on a raised tablet, ROMA. Cr. 29/3 (pl. V 3, 4). 6.70 g. 20.50 mm. Superb, brilliant with underlying luster and lightly toned, with lovely golden hues. Good EF. Encapsulated by Classical Coin Grading MS 62.
