Greek Italy. Etruria, uncertain mint. AV 10-Asses, 3rd century BC. Obv. X within round incuse. Rev. Blank. Vecchi EC 1, p. 381. 0.74 g. 6.25 mm. RRR. Extremely rare, very few specimens known. EF. These rare gold coins are possibly votive and seem to be on struck of a gold as of about 0.078 g., a little heavier than the gold as standard employed by Populonia of 0.056 g. and Republican 60-as gold issue (Crawford 1974, 105/2) attributed to Etruria.
