Philip II as Caesar (244-247). AE Sestertius, Rome mint. Obv. M IVL PHILIPPVS CAES. Bare-headed and draped bust right. Rev. PRINCIPI IVVENT SC. Philip II, in military dress, standing right, holding spear and globe. RIC IV 255a; C. 55. AE. 20.13 g. 30.00 mm. A very attractive example. Superb portrait. Nice green patina, with reddish brown hues. From a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise. about EF.
