Maximinus I (235-238). AE Sestertius, Rome mint. Obv. IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. PM TR P II COS PP SC. Emperor in military dress standing left, with two standards on his right and one on his left, raising right hand and leaning left on spear. RIC IV 33; C. 58. AE. 24.49 g. 31.00 mm. A choice medallic example. Insignificant traces of double striking on obverse. Very attractive dark green brown patina. About EF/Good VF.
