Faustina I, wife of Antoninus Pius (died 141 AD). AE Sestertius. Rome mint,141-146 AD. Obv. DIVA FAVSTINA. Draped bust right. Rev. AVGVSTA. Vesta standing facing, head left, sacrificing over lighted altar with patera and holding palladium; S-C across fields. RIC III 1126; C. 117. AE. 24.91 g. 32.00 mm. A choice example, with a superb portrait. Lovely olive green patina. Obverse fields very gently smoothed and insignificant traces of double striking on reverse, otherwise. about EF.
