Greek Italy. Bruttium, Kroton. AE Nomos, c. 530-500 BC. Obv. Tripod, legs surmounted by wreaths and terminating in lion's feet, two serpents rising from the bowl. Rev. Incuse tripod as obverse, but wreaths and serpents in relief. HN Italy 2075; SNG ANS 230; Gorini 4. AR. 7.98 g. 30.00 mm. Good metal. Delicate patina with warm hues. Minor edge chip. Good VF.
