Julius Caesar. AR Denarius, 47-46 BC. Obv. Diademed head of Venus right. Rev. CAESAR. Aeneas advancing left, carrying palladium in right hand and Anchises on left shoulder. Cr.  458/1. AR. 3.81 g. 19.00 mm. Sound metal and full weight. A choice example, sharply struck on a broad flan, from masterly engraved and detailed dies, bright and lightly toned. EF.
