Caracalla (198-217). BI Tetradrachm, Laodicea ad Mare (Seleucis and Pieria). Struck 209-211 AD. Obv. AVT KAI ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟC CЄ. Laureate and draped bust right. Rev. ΔHMAPX ЄΞ VΠA TOC TO Γ. Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; star between legs. Prieur 1165; Prieur & Amandry Group IV, 47; cf. McAlee, Severan, Group IV, 3;1. BI. 12.82 g. 27.50 mm. Lovely tone with warm hues. Minor graffito on obverse. About EF.
