RIC II-p. 1 (2nd ed.) 756. AE. 11.83 g. 27.00 mm. Charming orichalcum surfaces. About EF. This Dupondius belongs to the group of irregular brass issue minted in Rome, c. 74 AD. The largest denomination (brass, c. 12.5-13 gr.) matches a Roman dupondius, but it has an unusual reverse type for denomination and the standard radiate obverse bust type is replaced by a laureate bust.
