L. Scribonius Libo. AR Denarius, 62 BC. Obv. BON EVENT before diademed head of Bonus Eventus right; LIBO behind. Rev. PVTEAL. Puteal Scribonianum decorated with garland and two lyres; at base, hammer; in exergue, SCRIBON. Cr. 416/1a; B. 8. AR. 3.91 g. 20.00 mm. Outstanding puteal, centred on oval flan. Sound metal and full weight. A superb example. Enchanting even iridescent tone. EF.
