Sicily. Selinos. AR Didrachm, c. 417-409 BC. Obv. Herakles right, wielding club and graspling horn of bull right; partially retrograde ΣEΛI-NOT-I-ON around. Rev. HVΨΑΣ. River god Hypsas standing left, holding olive branch and patera, pouring libation over altar around which a serpent twines; to right, selinon leaf above heron walking right. HGC 2 1224; SNG ANS 704 (same dies). 8.09 g. 23.50 mm. RR. Dark and warm tone, some die wear on obverse (typical for die). VF/About VF.
