Philip I (244-249). AE Sestertius, Rome mint, 248 AD. Obv. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. [PM]TR P V C[O]S III PP SC. Felicitas standing left, holding long caduceus and cornucopiae. RIC IV 153a; C. 149. AE. 16.10 g. 28.50 mm. A superb example. Bold portrait, glossy emerald green patina, with attractive earthen deposits. Scratch on reverse, otherwise. good VF/VF.
