L. Roscius Fabatus. AR Denarius serratus, 64 BC. Obv. Head of Juno Sospita right, wearing goat's skin; behind, spear and axe; below neck truncation, L ROSCI. Rev. Female standing right, feeding serpent erect before her; behind, uncertain control-mark; in exergue, FABATI. Cr. 412/1 (control-marks 190); B. 3 (control-marks 150). AR. 4.04 g. 17.00 mm. Good metal and full weight. A superb example, brilliant with underlying luster and iridescent highlights. EF.
