Commodus, veiled, Standing right, sacrificing over tripod; before him, victimarius raising axe to strike bull, which an attendant holds by the horns, and flute-player. RIC III 603; C. 986. AE. 23.60 g. 29.00 mm. RR. Very rare and fascinating issue. Uneven mottled olive and light green patina. VF.
