Terracotta figurine depicting husband and wife holding hands (classic depiction of penates gods).
Dimensions: 163 x 100 mm.
Object of great charm and rarity. Traces of polychromy in red, yellow, and blue. Slight cracks from firing. Penates originally designated the protective spirits of the family's food supply, i.e., the household closet; then, by extension, they took on the role of protectors of the family.
