Greek Italy. Southern Apulia, Mateolum. AE Uncia, c. 210-150 BC. Obv. Head of Athena right, waring crested Corinthian Helmet; above, [pellet]. Rev. Herakles standing right, leaning on club on rock to right; at left, monogram MAT. HN Italy 797; SNG ANS -; SNG BN 1373; HGC 1 615. AE. 2.67 g. 15 mm. RR. Very rare and in excellent condition for issue. Green brown patina. Slightly rough surfaces. Good VF.
