Greek Italy. Northern Apulia, Venusia. AE Uncia, c. 210-200 BC. Obv. Half length bust of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress and holding club over shoulder; pellet before. Rev. Lion seated left, breaking spear held in its jaw; VE monogram to left. HN Italy 716; SNG ANS 757; HGC 1 672; SNG Munich 549; SNG Morcom 234. AE. 6.04 g. 18 mm. Choice specimen, well centered. Good VF.
