L. Marcius Philippus. AR Denarius, 56 BC. Obv. Diademed head of Ancus Marcius right; behind, lituus; below, ANCVS. Rev. PHILIPPVS. Equestrian statue right, on arcade of five arches within which AQVA MARC, flower below horse. Cr. 425/1; B. 28; RRSC D217a. AR. 4.07 g. 19 mm. Full weight and superb example with enchanting portrait. Lightly toned, with underlying luster. Banker's mark (?) on obverse. Good EF.
