Herakles right, fighting lion with club; above, AΡΠA; Δ below. HN Italy 637; SNG ANS 632; HGC 1 527. AR. 1.16 g. 11.5 mm. R. Very rare, especially with full clear legends. Perfectly centered. Good VF. The name CEPTI should be related to the Roman name Septimius. Arpi allied with Rome at the end of the 4th century, seeking help against the neighbouring Daunian settlements, and remained loyal until the battle of Cannae (216 BC).
