Micro XFR examination of lot 212, Auction LII

We have subjected lot 212, Auction LII, to micro X ray fluorescence spectrometry (micro XRF).

The analysis reveals a metal perfectly fitting with ancient metallurgy (see e.g. W. Hollstein: Metallanalytische Untersuchungenan Münzen de Römischen Republik, Berlin, 2000), with spots of strong mineralization.

In certain areas there are strong mineralizations. For example, in Point 3, a very dark area at the coin edge, one gets, by including Al and Si:
