Hispania. Rhode. AR Tritartemorion, c. late 4th century BC. Obv. Female head right. Rev. Rose seen from above. ACIP 128; CNH 77/2. AR. 0.42 g. 9 mm. RRR. Extremely rare issue and mint. About VF. This Greek colony, according to sources, was a Rhodian foundation. Toward the end of the fourth century it struck drachms and fractions of beautiful style, akin to that of the Sicilian cities, so much so that they were imitated in the third century in Gaul.
