Greek Italy. Southern Apulia, 'Campano-Tarentine'. AR Nomos, c. 281-228 BC. Obv. Diademed head of nymph left. Rev. Nude youth on horseback right, crowning horse, that raises left foreleg, with wreath; below, TA on dolphin swimming right. HN Italy 1098; Vlasto 1002. AR. 7.31 g. 20 mm. Superb coin, virtually as struck, with enchanting bright surfaces and delicate light tone. Area of flat strike on reverse. Very rare in this condition. FDC.
