Septimius Severus (193-211). AE Bi-Medallic As, Rome mint, 200-201 AD. Obv. SEVERVS AVG PART MAX. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. RESTITVTOR VRBIS / S C. Roma seated right on shield, holding palladium, facing Septimius standing left, holding sceptre and sacrificing over altar between them. Cf. RIC IV 757a; Cf. C. 610; Gnecchi -; Michelini Tocci -. AE. 15.93 g. 28 mm. RRR. Extremely rare medallic series; green-brown patina. Rough surfaces, otherwise. about VF.
