Neptune standing left, holding aplustre and placing foot on prow; on either side, one of the Catanean brothers, bearing his father on his shoulders; above, [PRAEF]; in exergue, CLAS ET ORAE/ [MAR I]T EX SC. Cr. 511/3a; B. 27 (Pompeia); RRSC D 290.2a. AR. 3.74 g. 19 mm. RR. Very rare and fascinating issue. Attractively toned. Weaknesses, especially on reverse. Good VF/VF.
