Head of Athena Parthenos right, wearing necklace, pendent earring, and triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with the protomes of four horses above the visor, a Pegasos in flight rightward above the raised earpiece, and a curvilinear ornament on the shell. Rev. Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; A-ӨE above HPA/API-ΣTOΦ/ΠOΛYX (magistrates’ names) in three lines across field, upright club to left, A on amphora; all within wreath. HGC 4 1602; Thompson 324. AR. 16.75 g. 33.50 mm. RR. Superb example. Very rare with club and no bow with lion skin. Delicate tone with underlying luster. About EF/EF.
