Crescent second series. AE Sextans, 204 BC. Obv. Head of Mercury right, wearing winged petasos; above, two pellets. Rev. Prow right; above, crescent; below, ROMA; before, two pellets. Cr. 137/6. AE. 8.02 g. 23.00 mm. RRR. Extremely rare. Nice deep green patina with reddish spots. About VF. The dating of this coin has been suggested by Roberto Lippi, based on a new soon to be published study.
