Honorius (393-423). AV Solidus, Ravenna mint,. Obv. DN HONORIVS P F AVG. Helmeted, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. VICTORI-A AVGGG. Honorius in tunic and officer's cloak standing facing, holding long cross topped with P (staurogram), the bottom driven into serpent-tailed lion prostrate left under emperor's right foot; hand of God reaches in from above left to crown Honorius with a halo; R - V in the fields; COB in exergue. RIC X 1310; C. 43; Ranieri 16. AV. 4.45 g. 21.30 mm. RR. Very rare and choice example. Slightly waved flan, scratches. Good VF.
