Greek Italy. Central Italy, uncertain mint. AE 13 mm, c. 3rd century BC. Obv. Sixteen-rayed star. Rev. Eight-rayed star over crescent. HN Italy -, but cf. 363 and 375 (cast Triens and Quadrans, for similar types); Cf: Vecchi ICC 282 (Triens, from Falerii Veteris in Latium: RIN 1890, p. 317). AE. 1.24 g. 13.30 mm. RRRR. A very intriguing and enigmatic example. Of the highest rarity, apparently unlisted in the standard bibliography. EF.
