IRON HOWITZER PROJECTILES
Reinassence, 16th - 17th century.
Lot of fourteen (14) iron projectile probably for a falkonet howitzer.
ca. 480 g. each one x 51 mm. wide. One of the falkonet's illustrious victims was Commander Giovanni dalle Bande Nere, wounded in the thigh during a battle against the landsknechts near Governolo and died of gangrene a few days after the amputation of the limb.
