The Gepids in Sirmium. Imitative Fourrée (?) Quarter Siliqua in the name of Anastasius I (491-518). Obv. DN AИASTASIVS F PII ΛV. Pearl-diademed and cuirassed bust right. Rev. Blundered legend. Monogram of Theodoric; above, cross; below, star. Cf. Demo 69-78. AR (?). 0.84 g. 17.00 mm. RRR. Extremely rare. Theoderic monogram unlisted in the standard references and apparently unpublished. Broad flan, toned. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise. VF.
