Geto-Dacians. AR Denarius, after 78 BC. Geta-Dacian imitation, copying L. Titurius L.f. Sabinus. Obv. Laureate Janiform head; blundered legend around. Rev. Rape of the Sabine women; blundered legend around. Cr. 344/2 (for prototype). AR. 4.31 g. 17.80 mm. Very interesting imitation, showing a janiform head on obverse and Tarpeia reverse type from Titurius Sabinus issue. Near VF.
